Dr. Nikhil Dixit is a dedicated Cardiothoracic surgeon committed to patient well-being and excellence in cardiac surgery. Growing up in a family of healthcare professionals, his passion for medicine was sparked at an early age. After excelling academically at GSS Pre-University College, he continued his medical education at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, where he earned his MBBS and MS in General Surgery.
Dr. Nikhil specializes in Coronary Bypass procedures, valve surgery, and thoracic surgery, with additional interests in minimal access surgery, robotics, LVADs, and heart and lung transplants.
He further honed his expertise by pursuing a Master of Chirurgiae at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad. During this time, he presented several papers and posters at national and local conferences, focusing on topics such as valvular heart disease, aortic aneurysms, and coronary reimplantation techniques.
Notably, he presented an award-winning paper at IACTSON 2021 and conducted a significant five-year study on coronary artery bypass grafting patients, which was published in the European Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Nikhil served as an Assistant Professor at NIMS, dedicating over two years to teaching and enhancing his skills.
